Pool Deck Repair Cost

Deck repairs run from about $8 per linear foot for crack filling to $2,200 to lift a settled section. The useful question is not what each costs, but at what point they add up to more than resurfacing.

Typical national range

$400–$3,500

Typical single-defect repair on a residential pool deck — crack filling, spall patching or lifting one settled section. Multi-defect decks run considerably higher.

What this project needs measured

Measurements are only requested when they change the price of the work you selected. Everything below is collected inside the estimator — you can enter dimensions you already know or measure as you go.

Required

Pool deck area

Deck work is priced by square footage, and the condition of the existing slab changes the preparation cost.

Only if it applies

Pool perimeter (linear feet)

Tile and coping are priced by the linear foot around the pool edge.

When repair stops being the cheaper option

Repairs are targeted, so they are cheap when the targets are few. The arithmetic reverses quickly once several defects are in play — and a patchwork deck also looks worse than a uniformly resurfaced one.

One crack, 12 ft$100–$360Repair
Several cracks, 40 ft total$320–$1,200Repair

Widespread cracking from movement$4,000+Replace, at $7,200–$15,600
PoolSavr planning ranges. A useful rule: once repairs reach roughly half the cost of resurfacing, resurface.

Fixing the cause costs more than fixing the symptom

This is the part of deck repair budgeting people miss. Filling a crack is cheap; stopping it recurring may not be.

How to read a PoolSavr estimate

  1. Step 1

    Instant estimate

Based on your project selections and general pricing assumptions. Useful for deciding whether a project is realistic.

  2. Step 2

    Measured estimate

Uses your pool, spa, or deck dimensions to price the work against the areas actually being resurfaced, tiled, or replaced.

  3. Step 3

    Contractor proposal

Prepared by a licensed professional after inspecting the site. This is the only number that becomes a contract.

PoolSavr is an estimating and matching platform. We do not perform pool work ourselves — licensed local professionals do. Contractors pay PoolSavr for qualified project leads, which is how the estimating tools stay free for homeowners. Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to repair a cracked pool deck?
Hairline crack filling runs $8–$16 per linear foot, and structural crack repair $15–$30. A 12-foot crack is therefore $100–$360. The larger question is whether the cause needs correcting, which can run into the thousands.
How much does it cost to lift a sunken pool deck?
Slab-jacking a settled section typically costs $600–$2,200 depending on area and lift required. It is far cheaper than replacement and works well provided the slab itself is intact and the sub-base gets stabilised.
At what point should I resurface instead of repair?
When repair quotes reach roughly half the cost of resurfacing. On a 600 sq ft deck that is around $2,000–$4,000 of repairs against $3,600–$8,400 to resurface — and resurfacing gives you a uniform surface rather than visible patches.
Will repairs be visible?
Usually yes. Patched concrete rarely matches surrounding weathered concrete in colour or texture, and the contrast softens only partially over time. If appearance is the main concern, resurfacing is the honest answer.
Can I repair the deck myself?
Crack filling with a proper concrete repair product is within reach for a competent DIYer, and expansion-joint replacement is straightforward. Slab-jacking, structural crack repair and anything involving drainage are not — those need equipment and diagnosis.
