Why this order matters
The conventional sequence is to call three contractors and ask each to educate you, measure your pool, and produce a quote. That costs you three site visits and several weeks, and it costs each contractor an unpaid afternoon — which is exactly why quotes vary so wildly and why some companies never call back.
Doing the definition first changes the conversation. You arrive knowing what a pebble finish costs against quartz, what your interior square footage is, and whether the tile is worth doing at the same time. The contractor arrives knowing they are quoting a real project rather than prospecting.

Serviceable location, a supported project type, enough scope to quote, valid contact details and your explicit permission to share.

Someone who does that category of work, covers your area, and holds current licensing and insurance.

They receive the full project packet
Measurements, selections, photos, timeline, your preliminary estimate, and the specific questions that need an in-person look.

They contact you within two business days
If they do not, tell us. Response rate is something we track and act on.

They inspect and produce a real proposal
This is the number that becomes a contract. Expect it to differ from your preliminary estimate once they have seen the shell.

Frequently asked questions
- How many contractors will contact me?
- One. We send your project to a single professional suited to the work rather than selling it to several who then compete to reach you first. If they decline it or fail to make contact, we will tell you before reassigning it.
- How do you choose the contractor?
- By whether they actually do your category of work, whether they cover your area, their licensing and insurance status, and their track record on previous PoolSavr projects — including whether homeowners heard back from them.
- What do you verify?
- Licensing where the jurisdiction requires it, and proof of liability insurance. We tell you what we checked. We are not a substitute for your own due diligence: check references and read the contract before you sign anything.
- Is there any cost to me?
- No. Contractors pay us for qualified projects. You never pay PoolSavr anything, and the contractor is not permitted to add a PoolSavr fee to your quote.
- What if there is no coverage where I live?
- We will say so rather than taking your details anyway. You keep your estimate, and you can use it when approaching local contractors yourself — the measurements and scope are just as useful in that conversation.
